Sunday Playdate

(Or as Trish calls it - Sunday Funday)
We had a playdate yesterday with Mommy's girls night out group.  We didn't have to travel far (just across the street at my buddy Lee's) but somehow we forgot our camera.  Luckily Dawn, Jenny and Trish had their fingers snapping pictures all day.  Here are some that Trish took of Lilly - I think she would have stayed in the swing all day if we let her!

And on a side note - Lilly is crawling everywhere!  Yesterday she got stuck under one of the barstools - YIKES!  Can't leave the room and expect her to be in the same place anymore...

The Count Stands At 2

I went to check on Lilly's tooth tonight and what did I find?  The tooth next to it is coming in as well!  I will try to get pictures but she is not a willing participant right now to get a good shot.

Correction

I apparently jumped the gun on two things in my last post.  One being that yesterday she was still 7 months and 4 weeks old.  Two being - we have a tooth making it's way thru the gum line.  I saw something white on her gums yesterday but thought - warning TMI ahead - that is was phlegm from her bronchitis cough that will not go away.  Then when I went to look further, I saw a small speck of white.  And when I felt it, boy is it sharp.  So pretty soon, we will not have a toothless smile!

8 Months and Big Changes!

I absolutely cannot believe that Lillybug is 8 months old. She has done so many new things in the last month that it has been hard to keep up!  As you can see from the top video (the one that I cannot figure out how to move to the end of the post) she is pulling up.  More on that later...
First she started calling everything dada but then about a week into it while I was sick and Paul had Lilly duty, she cuddled up to him, sighed, and said "dada". How cute is that! Then the Sunday before Christmas she started saying momma. I was excited but knew that she was really just mumbling and didn't know what it meant. But then I started leaving the room and she would cry out "momma". Made my heart melt!
On Christmas morning we were just hanging around the house and she was playing in front of her jump gym. I looked over and she had pulled to a standing position. We really thought it was just an accident but she has continued to do it since then and we even have some video below to prove. BTW - she still is not crawling yet and we also have zero teeth so we are definitely re-writing the milestones book.
And did we mention that she can hold her own bottle.  I still love giving her a nighttime bottle but it sure is nice that she can feed herself in the morning.  It definately gives us more time to get ready for work and do the important things like brush our teeth...haha!
She continues to amaze us and I don't think that either one of us knew just how much we had been missing out on all these years!
And without further delay, here’s Lilly and all her glory!

I do not know how to turn this video so just turn your head to watch it ;)
