She is on the "launching pad"

Just got back from an ultrasound and the good news is that she is in the correct head down position and that she is indeed a girl!  The bad news is that she is facing the wrong direction so the suggestion for that is to sleep a little bit more on my stomach.  Don't know exactly how that will work but I will give it a shot.  I opted not to get examined today so I do not know if we have progressed but the doctor did say that she would definately see us next week :(  We will not discuss induction until I am 41 weeks but I am hoping to prove the doctor wrong and have this baby on her due date + or - a couple of days.  until next week...  t-minus 8 days!

Sharing Issues Already?

Yes we put him in the bouncer (but he liked it soo much he stayed)

This was all on his own...

Who will deliver first?

My dad and I at 32 weeks.  He is obviously really sticking his stomach out but I sadly am not!

BTW, this picture was taken after a really long day so I am really swollen :(

10 Months - A Look Back

This pregnancy has been fairly easy!  I was very sick with morning sickness the first three months but that's part of the experience, right?  After that was over, I can't really complain much.  I have had some problems in the last month with my hands going numb from circulation but as far as Lilly is concerned, she is perfectly healthy!  And I have managed to stay within the "average weight gain" area (although I guess I could explode in the next two weeks).  Here is a look back at the belly pics we have taken from when we first found out until just last week at 38 weeks...

38 weeks

26 weeks

20 weeks

Now I lay me down to sleep,

hopefully for the whole night.  Just kidding!  I know that doesn't happen until they are a least a week old, right?  Anyway, here is...

17, 12 & 1

That's 17 years together, 12 years (July 11) of marriage and the birth of our first child...whew!!
Finally, yes, we have a baby on the way.  Lilly Janet should make her grand debut somewhere around May 6.  This blog will serve as our journal about her life and our life with her.
And we can't say we aren't ready.  There have been numerous vacations to Mexico, trips to New York, San Franciso, Colorado and last summer we spent two weeks in Italy.  We have seen so many live concerts that I can't even count them all (Redrocks is a must do!).  Home has been in (4) different places from our 1st apartment at the Cornwall in Beaumont to our house in Austin and in between there have been several job changes.  So yes, we are ready for this next adventure.  And we are so glad that we have great family and friends to come along for the ride!
