Christmas 2011

Paul and I spent 2 hours putting together all of Lilly's stuff from Santa on Christmas Eve.  Next year, we will start much earlier than the night before the bearded man comes to the house!

The Loot

Muno and Fufah went with us to Gigi and PawPaw's. This is the three of them in her car seat.

The car went with us too!

Twas the Night Before Christmas...

We had a great, well Lilly had a fantastic, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  Here are the highlights in pictures.

Wild Weekend

We had an interesting weekend!  It was busy, busy, busy.
We started out with Lilly turning 19 months on Friday.  I will post later on her.
Saturday morning we went to Budafest in the freezing cold!  It was fun but Lilly is really not a fan of sirens.  Luckily for us there were plenty of "neighs" aka Horses, mininature horses and llamas, that she still had a good time.
After that we went and looked at a house for the third time and finally made an offer.
Sunday we nailed down a name for baby girl - Dela.  No middle name yet.
Sunday night we were the proud owners of a new house.  Actually I guess right now we own two houses (6 toilets).  Yikes!  Anyone know a good maid?

We're Having a Baby, It's a

                              GIRL!

New Name, New Layout

When I created this blog it was for the sole purpose of watching Lilly grow.  From my belly to the world, we have captured as much as we could to serve as a sort of baby book.  We hope she will look back on this and watch herself grow into a beautiful girl, and maybe a wife and mother someday.
When we became pregnant again I thought about the blog.  I pondered running two blogs, creating a whole new "family" blog or keeping this blog and adding the life story of our newest addition.  I have decided with the latter and just creating a new blog title.  I hope you like this new layout and even though it will not always just be about Lilly, it will still be all about our pad!
So please be patient with us as we design and redesign, name and name again until we finally get it right.

18 Months

I feel like I should already start planning your second birthday because time is just flying by.
You are absolutely the sweetest most loving little girl.  You love to give hugs and kisses.  And when you hug, you hug hard and you squeeze.
You love me but you are loving your daddy right now.  The two of you have been spending a lot of time together and he is your #1 right now.  That's okay though.
You started saying "up" for when you want to get up, down and out of something. You also put your hands up in the air and shrug your shoulders to say I don't know.
You put your babies to bed everynight the same way we put you to bed (family hug, kisses, blanket, lovey).  It's cute!
You have three new teeth this month.  One of your bottom front teeth and two molars.  Those were no fun.  You are also getting over a cold so we better hurry and get your flu shot!  Old man winter is right around the corner!
Here is what we did in October in:

We ate our favorite:spagetti!

We swang with Elmo

We made homemade ice cream

We went to a pumpkin patch

And we played with our shadow

17 Months

Words, Words, Words...
We say something and ask you to say it and you do.  Sometimes it is pretty clear what you are saying and other times it is definitely a guess.  You sing the ABC song and for the most part it is jibberish until you get to the part  "wonder what you think of me".  We can tell exactly what you are saying.
I am thinking about potty training soon.  You tell me when you go to the bathroom so I know that is one of the first signs that you are ready to start.  I am sure it will take months but better now than never.
Overall you are super happy, easy going kid.  Can't wait to see what the next month has in store.

Why did Lilly and I get to do this,
And this,

Because of this!
