Trash the Dress 2015 (3 & 5 Year pictures)
We took a little family vacay to Port A this summer. I thought it would be a good place to take some pictures of the girls. You can see how it ended up. Reminded me of those Bridal trash the dress portraits...

3, Three, Tres
So Dela is 3. The little is growing up.
As usual (or tradition?) we threw a double birthday party for her and her sister at the Jumpy Place. Her friends Wren, Keats and Connor were there as well as G and Hud. She had a great time. On the morning of her birthday we were in Lake Charles with family and she wanted nothing to do with it being her birthday. We all sang and she was not impressed. Typical for her. Two days later though she asked if she could have her birthday again.
She got a trampoline from us, a kindle from gg/pawpaw and college funding from Nanny/Poppa (plus $ for new bathing suits).
She is all girl! She likes dresses and babies/barbies and shoes and tutus. She likes to dance and sing.
We still aren't potty trained but we are working hard on it. And we still have a million paci's.
Starting in September she will attend a MDO church two days a week. She is already telling me she doesn't like school. Should be fun!

5, Five, Cinco
Lillybug is 5! We had a great birthday party for her at the Jumpy place in Kyle with her school friends and of course her best bud, Nash. I'm not much on themes for birthdays so I just made everything rainbow and she loved it. We even went old school with a cookie cake. It was delish! Paul and I got her (and her sister) a new trampoline for their birthday. If you can remember, a storm pretty much destroyed the other one we had. They also got a pool/slide combo from the Paczosa family and if it EVER stops raining, we might get to use it. And last, they are now proud owners of their own Kindles thanks to GG and PawPaw. Now I get to use mine again and never will I have to hear another fight about sharing mine. And College funding will come compliments of Nanny and Poppa.
Where to begin? She is such a tomboy. She would much prefer climbing trees and fighting with swords than changing a baby dolls diaper and making sure Ken and Barbie have matching outfits. She hates sandals because she can't run in them. Lately she will wear a dress because she doesn't like for Dela (who would prefer to only wear dresses) to get all the compliments on how she looks like a princess. She just recently starting wearing bows again because her school boyfriend Ethan told her she needed to wear more bows. Everyday she checks our storm and sewer pipes for frogs that need to be saved. Girl has no fear.
We are registered for Kindergarten and will "graduate" from Pre-K this week. This will be our last carefree summer and I plan on making the most of it with that girl.

5 on Friday (posted on Saturday)
I see a lot of blogs I read do these types of post and I thought I would try it. Worth a shot since I don't blog at all anymore.
1) I am turning 40 in two weeks. Lilly and Dela will turn 5 amd 3 this year. And Lilly starts Kindergarten in August. How did all of this happen?
2) Lilly has the funniest mouth. The other day in the car she told Dela "to shut her mouth and save her words for later". Really? Lilly, you talk more than the law allows...
3) We are going skiing for the first time ever next week. Please pray I do not break anything.
4) I will miss Mardi Gras for the second year in a row because of #3. I'm excited to try something new but I sure miss showing my boobs for beads. (just kidding)
5) I want a new car. I need a job. Which should come first?
